Bad Endoscopy Filters? Investigating HIV Case

Bad Endoscopy filters may have caused multiple cases of HIV.  The associated press recently reported that improperly cleaned endoscopes were linked to the spread of HIV in several VA hospitals.  Now Congress is now investigating to see how widespread the infections may be.

A congressional panel will question Department of Veterans Affairs officials about mistakes that put patients at risk of possible exposure to HIV and other infectious body fluids at three VA hospitals. read more . . .
